why not release it now? knowing that its already included in the new TS being shipped.
HP Shows New TouchSmart Software at CES

When you see a TouchSmart PC at a demo station in this year's CES show, it's most likely showing off the beta of Microsoft's next OS, Windows 7. However, some TouchSmarts in the HP booth are showing off a little software of their own - the newest version of the TouchSmart Software.
HP's latest TouchSmart Software sports noticeable usability and feature improvements in the Photo, Video, Music, Calendar, and Notes applications. Photo editing, Pandora integration, search, ratings, and tagging are just a small sample of the improvents found. Check out our "Hands On" to see more of the TouchSmart Software.
HP has said the new TouchSmart Software will be shipping on new TouchSmart PCs now, and offered as an upgrade to existing TouchSmart PCs in the future, though no exact date was specified.

Not sure about that. I'm not aware of the roll dates, but you may get an earlier version of the software. If you ordered direct from HP you may have a better chance of getting the latest.

Yeah, if you are shipping it then why do those of us who bought the machine early have to wait for an update? We should be getting it first. Perhaps I can return my machine for a new one with updated software?

I hope HP will release this software to touchsmart owners. I purchased an IQ816 to use for consults but it was appearant that as a network unit it wouldnt work. Am also dismayed that an upgrade to Ultimate would off the touchsmart screen. WOW. Anything that HP can do to make these beautiful computers work in a business environment would be good. I think that it was a big mistake not writing touchsmart drivers for the more robust Ultimate level in the first place. DCA
