Funny News: Thief Wanted After 'Trying' to Steal a TouchSmart PC

While this Goldsboro, NC man may have shown signs of intelligence given the type of computer he tried to rob from a local Sam's Club, his desire to Touch 'Smart' didn't translate to actually being smart.

Armed with a forged receipt, Jeffery Allen Moore marched into a local Sam's Club and purchased a pack of cigarettes, then proceeded to shovel a TouchSmart PC into his cart and walk out the door. The receipt checker at the door instantly recognized the receipt as counterfeit.

The would-be TouchSmart thief fled the store, but evidence led authorities to his home. No one answered the door as officers attempted to serve the suspect with a warrant. However, as the suspect supposedly hid, police discovered a package containing all of the suspects attempts at creating the forged document... sitting on a table outside his home.

D'oh!

The lessons: never try to steal anything using a forged receipt from a store that has receipt checkers at the front door, actually... never try to steal anything, and never leave your practice attempts for creating a forged receipt outside in plain view.

He must have wanted to be caught... his personal info on the forged receipt, and he didn't destroy the copies. (how does one think about all those other steps and forget the important details) his fake receipt should have had a fake address *lol
I'm so disappointed in American criminals
