I have a SmartTouch 600-1188cn preloaded with Chinese TS3.1 (& Simplified Chinese Win 7). Before I take the step to upgrade, could you pls illuminate me if I can use your routine to upgrade to an English version of TS4?

You can use the app to perform the upgrade, but the language of the installed software will remain what it is on your system before the upgrade. Most of the TouchSmart software will follow what is called the "Display Language" of the operating system. If you have a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (or if you've upgraded to that), you can install other languages as "language packs" and then change the Display Language to one of the installed language packs.
Are you asking because you want to have an English version of TS4?

So, sounds like best is to change Win 7 display language to English, and the rest (i.e. TS) will follow...
Problem is now it is pre-loaded with Win 7 Home Premium in Chinese....
Guess it is a different topic...
