Hi guys,

Just bought my touchsmart IQ525a today!! loving it!

in the process of burning my restore disks and then im going to try and install windows 7 RC.

Two small things though, Is there a way to remove the mouse pointer from appearing everywhere i click? like when i click on the start menu or ANYWHERE the pointer follows me, and it is sort of annoying!

secondly, is there a way to increase the responsiveness of right click? (by pressing and holding) it seems to take a second or so too long each time.

thanks heaps for your help!

If you are talking about the little mouse that appears on the screen when you tap with your finger, you can disable it through a setting in the start menu: Start > all programs > Optomize for mouse. That should get rid of it.

If that doesn't work, go to control panel and then choose pen and touch. from ther click on the touch tab and uncheck the box in touch pointer that says "show the touch pointer..."

Hope that helps.

If you go in to the Control panel under "Pen and Input devices" is where you can set the hold/right click time.

As for hiding the mouse pointer this third party app does the trick.
(It still show's the hold/right click but you can shut that off if you want in
Control panel under "Pen and Input devices" Pointer Options tab.)

It did take a moment for the mouse to disappear and reappear but works great and it's easy to use.
