I was trying to help another member today with webcam problems associated with Yahoo Instant Messenger.  I installed YIM on both my Touchsmart IQ816 and my TX2500 tablet in both Vista 64 and Win7.  Got the webcam working in YIM so that was solved but what happened was interesting.

My systems slowed to a crawl and my fan went to max speed.  My mouse pointer was jerky and slow to respond.  After disabling/uninstalling the Yahoo toolbar, things improved back to almost normal except my fan is still running at max on my tablet.

So, for those of you that are having performance issues with your systems slowing down, and if you have the Yahoo toolbar for IE (or possibly other browsers - I'm only using IE), try disabling the Yahoo toolbar and see if that helps.
