Something I would like to see in the next touchsmart desktop would be a dim option for the AIO PC monitor. I want to place this tv on the wall next to my big screen, and when i play a movie i want the option to dim the iq800's screen so the glare doesn't interfere with the 55". Preferably I would be able to do this from the screen itsself or the remote.

You can do it from the keyboard: Fn and f10, Fn and f11

...or you can turn it off completely with Ctrl-F9.

you mean fn+f9...   ;-)

Knew about that but forgot about it.  Also a good way to turn off my shining beacon at night before I go to bed rather than waiting for the blank screensaver to come on.

Good tip.  Thanks for reminding me!  :-)

Oh yeah, you're right, the Fn is even surrounded by the rounded off rectangle outline as are the alternate function icons on the keys up on the "F" row.
My bad, I still have to look at the keyboard most of the time when I type, even after all these years. I sought out a technical field in life, and so shyed away from the clerical stuff. Glad you caught it, I wouldn't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction, it might take 4 or 5 posts to get it right...
BTW, David, sorry about the wacky weather we greeted you with on your recent vacation, tell all your friends, "Florida is full of snakes and gators, it's hot and humid, it rains ALL the time, and they tax everything." That'll keep 'em home where we want 'em...

Hey, that Fn+F9 works for doing a quick cleanup of the screen as well. As long as you don't do any sudden taps to the screen, it just sweeps the mouse around, and clicks nothing. The black background allows you to see what you are cleaning, since "the contrast is max when the screen is black."
Blit-Ding! I think that's a tip for the sticky if anyone is thinking about starting one yet...
