Does anyone know if its possible to put the desktop touchsmart software onto the tx2?

I hear that the dektop version of the software has a lot more features which werent included in the notebook version.

It can be done and has been talked about on the forums. I did it to my TX2500z which is the single touch little brother to the Tx2. Some of the programs work, some don't.

The desktop software was not designed with notebooks in mind, so even if you were able to load it on a netbook, you'd probably not get the experience you want. Battery life in particular has not been taken into account with the desktop software.

GTG makes a good point about battery life. From a touch standpoint, I found that Microsofts (now discontinued) Origami Experience 2.0 worked and scaled quite well to my touch enabled laptop. Although the program was written for UMPC's, it works well on the laptop.
