Here is my problem: I have my tx2 connected to my TV via the VGA port (I wish I got the model with an s-video port, but that's another story). When I close my lid, the signal to the external display shuts off!!! I have my settings so that when I close the lid the computer "does nothing." It doesn't sleep or hibernate, just shuts off the VGA output. Do you guys know how to keep the vga signal on when the lid is closed?

If there is no way around that, another option that I can live with is turning off my main display (then I just lay it flat in tablet mode). I just don't know how to turn off my display. Thanks in advance!

Sean

Ah!

I had this problem earlier on today with my newly configured TX2.

I overcam this within the advanced options of the Power Settings within Control Pannel.

What you need to d is to change the action taken when the lid is closed. The default is to go into sleep mode. You can change this, as I have to "Do Nothing" whilst on power and to "sleep" whilst on battery.

#I hope that this helps.

OK,

I had that at first when I connected to my TV. So what I did was to change the option so that when on battery my TX2 would go to sleep when the lid was closed. When on mains, I set to do nothing. I think I then went into display options when connected and swapped around the display options so that I only displayed on 1 or the other screen not both. I am now able to use the "FN" and "F4" keys to switch between TV, laptop or both.

That's about all I remember.

Good luck.
