What's the version of HP TouchSmart in Personalize-About on your system? It has to be at least 2.0.3106.17505. If you look in Add/Remove programs and turn on the Version column, it needs to say 2.0.205.0 or later.
Unfortunately, it looks like at the time of this posting, the software update to bring HP TouchSmart to that version or later is not available.
This app cannot be found at the path the programming doc says it should be at. I believe I have the latest SmartTouch software version...the HP Update program is not listing anything new. Any help appreciated.

Thank you for the response GeekTieGuy. My software reports:
2.0.3057.28080 and 2.0.70.0
both lower versions than what is apparently required. Guess I will wait for a software update to be issued.

Hi Scott,
It looks like the update is now on hp.com/support.
It will update your TouchSmart software to version 2.0.3126.29817, which is the version needed for the RegisterSmartCenterApp.exe
