Seems to me that might be an IE 8 issue and not so much an SP2 issue. Does SP2 come with IE8? I can't remember.

Yes, I believe it does, Internet Explorer 8.0 is of course, not ready for prime time, and has had a lot of new customers for me scratching their heads with the way it handles scripts. A real money maker for me so far, thanks, MS... The new tires on my truck are on you, Bill.

Try using compatibility view to render the page using the IE7 engine. On the address bar, click on the little broken page icon at the right (just to the left of the refresh button)? Either that, or use a differnt browser. I always keep a secondary browser installed exactly for this reason (usually Firefox).

Recall that Microsoft's old argument for remaining non-compliant with standards was that many web sites would break in IE if they did that, because they were designed and tested against an older version of IE.

This attitude changed in IE8. IE8 is strictly CSS 2.1-compliant, and also tightened up the security, and made other standards-compliance changes in various places. It's not clear exactly which, but any of these could've broken that script.

Bill's off helping kids in Africa. He owns only about 10% of Microsoft now, as he continues selling shares to fund his foundation.

Security holes in XP and IE7 bought the TRD supercharger system I put on my truck last November...Thanks, Return of Sasser Worm and you too Billy.
Seriously, if you can roll back to IE7 from the Control Panel, do it now. Shoot The Messenger is right, an easy way to get web surfing back is with Firefox, but it has it's compatibility issues as well...
Good luck to you in the rollback, some have found it to be impossible, but look for it anyway as an UPDATE, not as a program (in Vista) in your Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel, and do an uninstall from there. You might have to re-download and reinstall IE7 if you have a problem in IE7 after the IE8 uninstall, and Favorites and Links may disappear. Again, good luck.

If you are unable to uninstall from Control Panel, you will have to run the uninstaller manually. Go to the C:\WINDOWS\ie8\spuninst\ folder, and run spuninst.exe, and again, good luck to you. (may Bill have mercy on your soul) If it has not become obvious by now, EVERYONE! DO NOT INSTALL INTERNET EXPLORER 8.0!!! It's not worthy!
