Greetings folks,

I would first like to thank everyone who has helped me through my tinkering/quests/questions since owning this laptop, and for everyone who contributes on here (I lurked around here for a while before actually joining).

I am sadly parting ways with my tx2, and onto a different system. Problem is, I can't seem to ditch the system... all I get is fake Craigslist replies and no bids/looks on eBay.

Anyone here interested/know anyone who is? Its the tx2-1020us model (like for sale on Amazon), bought back in the end of February, and called HP and added the 3 year accidental damage/extended warranty which runs out in the end of Feb 2012.

My Craigslist post lists for $875, but I'd let it go for $800 to someone of this great community!

Thanks guys!

(btw if this post is not allowed here, just let me know...)

I think you are asking too much. that's why you are getting any responses. I just bought a brand new 1025dx for 830 from best buy.

I'd love to sell it for less.... but the difference in models is the processor from what I know between your model and mine...
But the extended warranty is worth something, not to mention the system was used for the following:
Boot up, install Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro, work on a couple of projects
Take on one business trip
Install Win 7 beta and tinker around
Install linux for some coding
Wipe to factory and put back in box

For that little amount of use, I wish I could just call it new...

Unfortunately, for most users, processor is the least important component of a computer these days. Extended warranty is something, but many people make it a point never to pay for extended warranties.

You're alex.elmi on eBay? The problem is that you're an $800 used laptop (auction) in a sea of $729 new laptops (and Buy-it-Nows, to boot), plus you have zero feedback.

I've already got one, but I suspect someone might pick it up if you lowered your price. I know it's painful, but computers depreciate at a rapid rate. Sorry.

I understand what you mean... and I will let it go to someone here for $700 at this point.
I have some people watching it, and people asking questions... but the majority of emails I get are the Nigerian scammers... go figure...

That extended warranty is WAY valuable with a unit like this and HP will support windows7 -- if you have accident protection too that's really a bonus -- and 800 is as low as you should go.
(especially as ebay charges for the sale right?) I mean it's new and in perfect condition with no problems or bad pixels or speakers or whatever right?
This is a good deal. It's like getting the PC for $550 dollars as the extended warranty costs at least $250 if not $350 for 3 years

Craigslist NYC?

Good luck

I thought about listing on the NYC craigslist, since I was born and raised in Bergen County NJ, and moved from there to CA only a few months ago, but didn't want to seem like a scammer lol

The biggest reason why I want it gone so fast is that I'm being shipped out with the Navy soon (don't have an exact date) and want as few things as possible to deal with when I'm leaving. That said - my laptop, PS3, and home theater are on craigslist. The PS3 is gone, Home Theater might be soon, but the laptop is the biggest "annoyance" to deal with right now, haha.
