My name is Peter. I am a new member of this forum here and i have a HP Touchsmart PC.

I have some questions to the project here and especially to the touchsmart system.

So it would be really great to get some answers here and maybe you can help me a little bit to understand something much better.

I am no expert developer, but i need to customize my touchsmart in a special way and maybe develop some things if neccessary.

So here are my questions:

1. The HP Developer guidelines contain some information for developers that want to develop some third party apps to be integrated in the TouchSmart System. So when i read about this, I tought: "great, so there i will find a broad range of developed 3rd party apps for the touchsmart in this community and on other places in the internet. And i can run this apps on my system.But i dont found anything like this. So the developers just develop it for themselves or for commercial use?? Or is there anywhere here or in the www a source of great freeware 3rd party apps for touch smart??

2. How can i do the following: I want to create a new tile from where i can start some applications. I want to name the tile "office" and i want to be able to start Word, Excel and Powerpoint from here. So i want to integrate the icons for this 3 apps into the tile. Is something like this possible?

One step forward: Is it possible to create ONE tile that contains different categories, e.g. office, email, media. and when i touch one of the 3 icons (office, email, media) then a kind of bar scrolls down and i can choose, e.g. word or excel when selecting "office", and maybe gmail or hotmail when selecting "email"....????

3. When i select an icon in general for a tile, e.g. in the small view, then i only can select one from the pre-defined range of icons given by the system. Is it possible to integrate/ select my own icons in any way?

4. Right down in the corner there is a Button "Customize". Is there any possibility to deactivate or to blank out this button for the special case that i allow an extraneous user to use my system, but i dont want him to make any changes by using this button? Is there a possibility for excat this thing?

5. Summarized: Is there any webresource that deals with comparable needs like my ones? Or is it really necessary to learn C++ and WPF to make any changes in hp touchsmart software? There are no resources in the internet from developers who have already done this and i can use parts of there developments for my system???

It would be very nice if here is somebody that can help me a little bit and answer my questions so that i can use my touchsmart in a better way and gain more knowledge about it. Thank you very much. It will be a great thing for me to become an active member of this community!
