Fn+F9 on the keyboard will toggle the screen off/on.
Hi :-) Is there a way to turn of the screen at night without turning of the computer or puting the computer to sleep. I want to leave the computer on for downloads. I know I can activate the screensaver, but I'd rather have a soution of turning the screen off

I just set my screen saver to "Blank" after five minutes. Then I set my power settings to "Turn off display after" 20 minutes

I did the same as OngDia untli I learned about the Fn F9. I agree with GTG. Do all your special function keys work? You may need to reinstall or update the KB software. Are you running Vista or Win7?
