Hi, maby somebody can help me. How to update nvidia drivers for iq820, because original drivers is to old if you want to play some new games. Drivers from nvidia site does not installing normally. When I try to install them I have an error message "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"
I'm using IQ820 with vista 64 edition
It appears that HP is using a device ID that the nvidia drivers do not recognize. I've used all the tricks I know to install Nvidias latest drivers but nothing works.
I'm still using the stock HP driver. I had even tried it after a clean Win7 install and still got the error message.

I got solution
I made an Update with nvidia driver with the Update site from hp for IQ846
install it
works fine
no Problems here ihave iq820 too. Ialso updatet most drivers there
If you have some freezing problems update Intel storage matrix driver version 8.9.23 .the ones on intel update site are old 8.7 and have Problems

How did you get the driver to install. I downloaded the version you mention from your link, but when I tried to install it I got an error saying that it didn't support my version of the operating system. I'm running win7 which you seem to be as well. Thanks in advance for any additional insight.
The drivers he mentions are only Vista Compatible. I don't believe HP has released any drivers for Windows 7 yet. I updated my IQ804 with those same drivers in Vista.
I see they're listed as Vista, but he mentions at the bottom of his post that he is using Windows 7. I guess I'll wait a couple of months for the actual driver release by hp. They now have a section on their page indicated they'll release drivers closer to the release of Windows 7.
Heres some more good info. I was able to update my drivers today.

All, I just posted a step-by-step walkthrough in another thread for getting the IQ816's NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS working correctly with the NVIDIA Windows 7 x64 / Windows Vista x64 drivers under Windows 7 x64 RC 7100.
These steps should also work for Windows Vista x64, and moreover, they should work for the IQ500 series NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS card. Just be sure to read through them carefully.
