This happens to me too. I have witnessed it happen though (I have Windws 7 RC). The computer slows down to a crawl and then a blue screen error comes up and quickly reboots. It point to NWFILTER.SYS. Anybody fix this? I think that is a video card issue.
On several different occasions I have gotten up in the morning to a log on screen on the computer. When I logon of course I get the message that the computer had an "unexpected shutdown". I cannot figure out what is causing this.
Can anyone help?
Vivian, if you are running vista, it may be a heat issue. I have helped some members that have has problems and it was either heat related or bad memory.
Another possibility is if you power flickered.
c1destiny, Thats a Win7 issue. I have had it too. Its still a Beta, so you can expect some problems with it. Googling the error message indicates that it is a novell client file which indicates that it is a networking issue. Probably related to the vista drivers running in win7.

c1destiny: Have you checked the properties of the nwfilter.sys file? If it has a digital signature, that should tell you where it came from.

I checked out the properties of the file and it is from NextWindow. It's the multitouch driver. Perhaps a removal and reinstall of the driver is in order (latest version installed 1.2.1.1.)?
good call on the file properties GTG. I just googled it and came up with a bunch of hits for novell.
