I'm looking to pick up a 4-cell battery for my tx2z but the link I had to buy the battery directly from HP (http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.asp?cc=US&SearchInc=PartNumber&lang=EN&jumpid=hpr_R1002_USEN&SearchCriteria=441131-001) indicates that it is no longer available, and everywhere else I'm looking is only showing the 6- and 8-cell batteries for sale.

Does anyone have a link to a reasonably priced 4-cell battery for the tx series they wouldn't mind sharing with me?

Thanks!

I too have been trying to get myself a 4-cell battery for my tx2z but those avaliable on ebay are all non-genuine HP products and I can't trust any of them.

I'll skip the witty but slightly scathing comment, but If I wanted an eBay battery I would have gone to eBay instead of posting don't you think?

Anyone have a link to some quality batteries that aren't going to fail after 2 months?

I have had more problems with ebay lately than is worth the aggravation.

On two occasions I purchased "OEM" batteries from sellers with good feedback and in both cases the batteries were fakes and nither would hold a charge.  One seller sent me a new battery which still only lasts half the time it should...and is a knockoff as well. oh, and IM supposed to pay the return shipping?! yeah, right.

You get what you pay for.  Beware.

I find it quite odd that it was very easy to get genuine batteries for my Fujitsu P7010D laptop but not the case for my tx2z. The more odd thing is that HP doesn't even sell any tx2z batteries on their website.

did anyone find a place to get a genuine battery

I recently got a genuine 8 cell on ebay. Keep searching and you'll find it. Remeber the battery is the same for tx1000-tx2600 so try something like "tx2500 battery" and see what comes up.
