I'm a part time college and a highschool student so, I really don't need the highly professional series but i was just wondering, What is the best laptop for me because i'd do a lot of drawing and i need one that doesnt delay, reliable and will last long. I dont want any problems as soon as i get it cause my brother got an hp and his screen broke after a week.

I'm planning to get an Hp touchsmart tx2z but i dont know if it's made for graphic designing.

Do you recommend any other hp touchscreen models good for my course?

It depens how much you would like to spend on a Tablet PC. I have the touchsmart tx2 1150eg. I am using it a lot for drawings and designs and until now I didn´t had any problems with it. I was skeptical at first before I got me the TS tx2 but forunatly my skepsis was unjustified. It works great with windows 7 RC. I did not try it with Vista as I am not a big fan of Vista. I also heard much of nuisance with HP products but I can not confirm it based on my experience. I have to say that I have my TS tx2 not that long. Hopefully it stay as it is without a problem.

I hope this helps...

Like Pickel said, it really depends on how much you want to spend. Pressure sensitivity in Photoshop does not work on the tx2z because it uses a N-Trig digitizer instead of a Wacom one. A tablet with a Wacom digitizer costs considerably more, even though the specs on the tx2z seem to be generally better for the price.

BUT that is not to say you can't use Photoshop. You just won't get the pressure sensitive brushes. And there are other painting applications that work with pressure sensitivity on the tx2z, like Paint.net and ArtRage.

Personally, I didn't have a lot to spend, so I went with the tx2z. But if budget is not an issue for you, I'd look at the Toshiba or Lenovo tablets.

Well - that depends on the software and which APIs it uses.
The only thing you can do is asking the support of those applications - they should be able to tell.
