Does anyone know what type of connection (like USB) the touchscreen uses in the 500 or 800 series? I'd like to know so that in the distant future I might have the ability to build a computer with a super good video card and quad-core processor that hooks up to the touch screen. Just a thought for the inevitable day when the TouchSmart is too slow for the times.

I'm a little confused with what you're asking. The TouchSmart is a full computer, and not an external monitor. Shy of Remote Desktop like clients, I'm not sure how you'd connect a different PC to it to use it as a monitor.

I just meant that internally, there's probably some sort of power and VGA-ish connection scheme, along with (perhaps?) a USB output from the touchscreen hardware that connects it all up nicely. In the distant future I would consider taking the computer apart and connecting the pieces to a (then) modern day computer so that I could still have touchscreen input. I'm just curious really.
