Being slightly naive I went and bought a iq840 last week from Costco here in Canada.  The salesman knew for sure they were wall mountable but they did not carry the attachment - no worry just head on over to the hp.ca site.....

As many of you well know they are extremely hard to find and I have a huge presentation ready to go for Saturday that I need to mount my new computer on a portable stand that I also purchased last week.

If anyone has one at  home that they would like to sell.....HELP!!

Paul from Calgary, AB Canada.

Have you found a bracket yet? I just bought an IQ846 and can't find an adapter.

Thanks.

Brackets were easily ordered from HP.com, the OP may have had issues in CA at the time, but they were available there too. I ordered mine in late January 2010 from HP for $50 shipping included.

However with the IQ8xx series being retired almost 6 months ago, accessories are not as easy to find, you want to search for the following part number FQ493AA#B13, they do pop up occasionally online. You just have to keep your eyes open, I notice pacificgeek.com has a ton of them, but at a high price, and I've seen them sell for as low as $20 on ebay.

As of this date Multitronic in Finland (http://www.multitronic.fi/showprod.php?prod_id=FQ493AA-1&stock=own&b=1) has them in stock and they will send them overseas. The price (including shipping) is about 31 euro. I just bought one for myself and they were pretty cool about it. THEY DO SPEAK ENGLISH.

I'm posting this because I wish someone had done it to spare me the time spent looking for this item. HP: shame on you for taking it out of production so soon!
