I need to know if The Sims 3 Game for PC's work with HP TouchSmart...?
Just if it is compatible and it will work, im not really asking if it works with the touch part.
Yes, it will work. Be sure to get one that has a dedicated graphics card, though. That is:
It should NOT have
Integrated graphics - Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Choose between:
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS HD
or
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS HD

I have an IQ506 and own The Sims 3. My IQ506 has the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS card. The game will run; however, at maximum settings, performance suffers. You don't have to go all the way down to min settings, but you will have to tweak in order to get smooth performance.
If you have not yet bought your Touchsmart, I would opt for the 512MB if you can-- I can't guarantee you'll be able to run The Sims 3 at maximum settings, but more dedicated video card memory always helps.
I have it, works great! No lag on the default settings that it starts with. I can switch back and forth from the game to internet (look up cheats) with no problem.
HP Touchsmart 600-1040 has a nvidia g200 256 inside it.
I want to know if it will play games like the sims 3 as thats what my wife wants it for, as well as other games. anyone have experience with performance with stuff like call of duty world at war or other graphics hungry games would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I've just bought a Q512ru and got a little problem...
The optical drive doesn't work. So it doesn't appear on OS (Windows7), but still on BIOS. I tried to delete it and install again, but it's the same.
