Hello There,

I backed up my Touchsmart before sending it off for repair. All is well now, but I can't seem to figure out where the TS calendar application stores its events. I want to restore from backup only the old calendar events. Where in the TS directory structure are these files located?

Thank you all,

CJ

Calendar (and Notes) store their data in C:\ProgramData\TouchSmartData\Data, which is usually a hidden folder. You should be able to type C:\ProgramData into Windows Explorer's address bar to go there even when the folder is hidden. Alternatively, use the Windows+R key and type in %ProgramData%, then hit the Enter key. That should get you there as well.

Thank you very much for the information.

So, I am sorry to say that the folder you mention is not found on my backup volume. It seems the HP backup application that runs prior to the system restore to the factory image, DOES NOT BACKUP THIS DIRECTORY. I don't recall being given any options before the backup ran except where to backup to.

Are you listening, HP?

Through some recent troubleshooting, I've come to learn that there is another location where Calendar data is kept. You may want to see if this folder is in your backups: C:\Users\[User Account Name]\AppData\Local\TouchSmartData\Data\XML
