Can I ask you which version of HP TouchSmart you have? Here's how to find out: Right-click the HP TouchSmart icon on the desktop. In the menu that pops up, click on Open File Location. That should open a Windows Explorer window with a file called SmartCenter highlighted. Now right-click that file. In the menu that pops up, click Properties. This brings up a window that has several "tabs" along the top. Click on the Details tab and look for the File version information. Please report that.

While you have that Windows Explorer window open anyway, please click on the yellow folder symbol in the box towards the top and type into that box:

%ProgramData%\Hewlett-Packard\TouchSmart\SmartCenter 2.0

then press the Enter key. You should see two folders there, and maybe a file called SmartCenterTrace. If you have a SmartCenterTrace file, please report that as well.

I would recommend you upgrade to the latest version (2.8) of the HP TouchSmart application. It's available for download at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-7442...
