Hello everyone. I just bought my TS about 3 weeks ago and love it, but I'm having extreme trouble burning DVDs.

I have Nero 7 Ultra Edition which I can only get to burn CDs. Everytime I try to burn a Data Disc or concert using Video_TS files, it always takes at least an hour to burn, and then they don't end up working. You can physically see on the DVD itself that there is stuff on it, but if I put it into my PS3, DVD Player or even back into the computer, it acts as if there is just a blank disc.

I also tried using DVD Shrink to make the Video_TS files into an ISO Image file to burn with DVD Decrypter, but that only ended up working one time.

This is extremely depressing and irritating. I really hope someone can help me out here!

Not all formats of DVD are supported by the DVD drive in the TouchSmart desktop PCs. As an example, see this page for the IQ846: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01742128&lc=en&dlc=en&cc...

Hmm... That may be the problem...

My DVDs are Memorex - DVD-R 16x 4.7GB 120min

On that list I don't see any DVD for 16x.

Thanks!

Though I still wouldn't understand why it burnt the one disc... Oh well, I'll get some new DVDs and try it out. Hopefully it'll work!

Now if only I could get the programs to burn faster... (Or maybe they are just burning slow due to the DVD type)

If the DVD burning program supports lowering the burn speed, you might be able to use the DVDs you have. Worth a try, maybe.
