When setting up my TV through Windows Media Center through manual mode I can see the tv signal when selecting channel but when I go to next step I get the following message...IR Hardward not detected.

Hi there touchfan, I have had the same issue before. Here's what I did:

Make sure all your drivings are current, goto hps's website to get updated drivers. If you are on vista and downloaded AMD's updated usb filter driver, it most likely caused a usb driver conflict. Uninstall all drivers and use HP's amd and usb filter drivers. If you are on 7, goto hp's website and download the CIR software for windows vista.
