Has anyone gotten the standard cable tv to look clear?  Not even close to my 42 inch LCD.

If I go full screen at 1900 prixel resoultion the movie looks horribley pixulated if I minize it down to about 50% of the screen it looks much better ??

any suggestions out there

No I do have a topbox for HD

Standard cable signals don't carry enough information in the signal to properly drive a high-def display, so you'd have to go to an HD signal source. Not sure what the 42 inch LCD TV does to make the picture look clear.

i have a 22 inch tv that looks noticeably better with SD cable than the touchsmart as well. I attribute it to the better signal processing chip in the tv. hopefully, here in US this wont be an issue a couple months from now when everything goes digital
