I have the IQ526 and it has a bright red subpixel stuck on. Shows up on most everything including full motion video. Worse yet is it is almost dead center of the screen and is not easily ignored. On some screen savers it completely disappears. Normally in the past on LCDs I have been able to correct these by using a soft cloth and a stylus to apply pressure to the pixel while turning the screen off and then back on. 99% of the time this has corrected the issue and I was a happy camper. Of course that is not possible with the touchsmart because there is a sheet of glass over the actual LCD screen and you cannot apply direct pressure to it. I have also tried the couple of software solutions that are available and even after running JScreenFix for 24 hours on the locations still no help. In the past I have never had luck with that method but figured it couldn't hurt to try.

Any advice on where to go from here?

HP Stuck pixel policy says it would need to be two stuck sub pixels to be considered for return. Is there anyway to easily tell if this might be two pixels next to each other, thus looking like one?

After reading about how the touch screen works I don't even want to consider trying to get at the LCD panel under the glass, unless someone can tell me that it isn't that difficult.

Thanks for any suggestions, ideas, whatnot. lol
