No, the TX1000 uses a wacom digitizer and the styli are not compatable.
You can contact HP to purchase a replacement. I'm not sure how much they cost but I think its not terribly bad. I think someone posted a link to the hp sales site in the notebook forum here a few months back.

Here is a link saying that they bought a Dell XT stylus for their HP N-Trig tablet:
http://reviews.dell.com/2341/412-1042/reviews.htm

The neat thing about it is that it has an erase button on it. The downside is that it does not fit in the stylus slot.

EDIT:
I did a quick search and found this link:
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/product_detail.do?product_code=FV2...

It is currently selling for $24.99 (US dollars).

Speaking of which, anyone think HP will release a TX2 pen with eraser? They had a working model in the design documents.

Would be a very nice and needed feature. Guess we will have to see.

Hi I can not get my stylus to write, any ideas? I can point to documents web pages etc. but just can not get to write with it. Does it need a bettery? or is it more like a problem with the software in which case what is the software called? I use Vista. Thanks
