If you go to the driver pages there's one that listed as the 'something' fingerprint reader minimal install. Or something to that effect. I installed that driver before DigitalPersona and never had any trouble getting it to see the reader.
Ok, I re-formatted My Touchsmart and it now has zero bloat whatsoever, and It runs great. I did go ahead and install all the drivers necessary (no updates via MS!) and my system runs quick and lean as anything. One thing though, although I dont use it, would some of you like to share your secrets with me on how you got the fingerprint driver/software to install?. I've tried several times, but just cant seem to get them to take. The Digital Persona software will hook, but once I get to the part where I pick a finger, it tells me there is no reader. If I use the software built in WIN7, once I get to the software, it just shuts back down. Other than that it's pretty cool. I loaded up all my full WMA Lossless albums, pic's of my Girls, and install the Zune 4.0 software I was good to go.
Later, Viper1
Can anyone give me a list of what bloatware I can take off my tx2z to speed it up and not lose any functions?
Thanks,
Rachael
*sigh* oh ha ha ha.
Do NOT click that link....goes to Google.

Much easier and more effective to just format IMO and then just install what is needed again.
