Hi all, hope you can help me descifer this mystery...

my display never wants to turn it off.... if the computer goes to sleep, hibernate or even shut down, the screen turns white instead to turn off completely...

this is been happening since 2 or 3 days... i chatted with online support, they sent me to make a system restore, but didn't work....I even made a System Recovery taking in onti fabric values... just as it was when buyed it... and nothing....

I have to take the battery off and unplug the AC adapter and only then it really turns off....

Please, advice!.... Cry

The display will not shut down even when the unit is powered off....? There definatly is a hardware issue at that point, send back to HP unfortuantly for replacement.

I have a similar issue with my laptop too. I think it is related to some software thingy as when I start this game, the screen turns white.But it was only recently. Then to get that white screen away, I had to mash the keyboard to get the computer to log off, then it would disappear (the white screen) and return me to the login page. This is a tx2 pc btw. Also now this white screen now also appears when I turn on my computer. I have to force shut down and restart it constantly and somethimes it appears normal then turns white or turns white from the beginning. Sorry if you do not understand what I am trying to say, I am bad in fixing computers D: Also I ran chkdsk and cleared my registry, checking for viruses now. If it fixes the problem I will update
