I am looking for a digitizing pen system to use with my IQ-526 desk top. I have been in contact with HP support and products, but have been told that HP does not make a digitizing pen system for this particular computer. I prefer not using the touch screen when I want to write in the journal or digital notebook, since I have a disability which makes it difficult for me to use. If anyone has any information which may guide me in locating a digitizing pen system that would be compatible to the IQ-526 please respond with any helpful tips. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting to use a pen directly on the screen or a pen and tablet like the wacom bamboo.- a digitizer that sits on your desktop that you input into with a pen?

As for a stylus and the 526 screen, it will work but not as well as it would on a tablet PC. I have seen a pen at Ooofice Max that is a three way pen, pencil and stylus. Its kind of like one of those multi color selectable pens where you click the different button for each pen. On the particular one that I have (which was made for a PDA/Pocket PC) the stulus tip is orange so you wont inadvertantly use the pen or pencil.

Since the sensor array is a group of LED's and sensors, it may pick up anything that gets close to the screen like your finger while you are holding the stylus. Unfortunately (in your case) the IQ series was designed for finger touch input. Thats not saying a stylus won't work, it just wasn't designed for it.
