I just went through this 2 months ago with my wife and her IQ 526 and my IQ 507.

After about 2-1/2 hours of dinking around with it, I found a little setting in YM9...

On the Menu, Click Messenger > MyWebcam and then click on the File > Preferences in the webcam box.

Select the Camera Source button.

Click on the down arrow to show available cameras.

Select HP Webcam.

Select OK.

Select OK.

That should solve the issue if your camera works other places (I used note in Touchsmart to make sure it was working ok first).

*Update and Extras
One thing we ran into was a corrupted download of Yahoo Messenger 9. It was small, but did not ever say it was corrupted... figured it out by comparing the download on my computer to the one on my wife's computer... You *may* have that issue going on... only solve for that is to unintall, then download and reinstall YM9...

Again, hope that helps, and good luck! Our YM9 stuff is now kind of superfluous since the two TS's now live about 6 feet apart in our play room...
