Since I've succeeded to install and run Linux on my tx2-1250ef, I've wrote this How-To : http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Howto_install_OpenSuSE_on_HP_tx2-xxxx_laptops

Touchscreen works perfectly under Linux, and stylus and its button too, but it's still not really available for newbies, as you will see above ... Interested developers should help a lot, as very few things still lacks to all Linux distributions to support tx2-1250 "out of the box" : only 4 lines of code in a file and the replacement of another file by a newest one available in linux kernel git trees ! And a Sax2 profile, for newbies.

Under Linux, the Gimp perfectly interprets stylus pressure, and the GUI (I use KDE) responds to smooth zero pressure touches. It's better than under windows, as windows do not recognize the stylus as a special digitizer device on the Gimp !

Multitouch isn't supported yet, despite some demos exists. But it should be easy soon : if you are a C coder : take a look at the latests linuxwacom-dev drivers.

There's still a serious problem, nevertheless : there is nearly always some fingerprints on my screen ! ;-)
