to work but it has an icon of it's own it's not embeded in the touchsmart 3 software
for the new touchsmart software with twitter and other stuff that's in this video

I have no idea Where to find it..
I have downloaded the so called 3.0 apps from the HP site, for my tx2 1025dx, however they appear as the same old mediasmart software. Not this new fancy looking software.
Has anyone been able to get this software working on they tx2? Could you provide a link to the *New & Working software?

You have no idea where to find it? You're RESPONDING TO A POST THAT IDENTIFIES THE LOCATION OF THE SOFTWARE IN THE FIRST SENTENCE. You find it on the driver updates page for any of the TX2 models. I installed the 3.0 series Smart Menu, Webcam, and MVP.
MVP and Webcam installed but will not launch, and the updated Smart Menu wouldn't install.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the Touchsmart 3.0 software is available for only Touchsmart desktops and the new version of the tx2 which was released in conjunction with the launch of Windows 7. What you're referring to is the MediaSmart software. I really want to get Touchsmart 3.0 for my tx2-1270us but all I found was the US News app. Does anyone know if HP plans on releasing it for download for older tx2 models?

When i called HP to ask, their response was that to get the TouchSmart 3.0 software, you'd need to use their own Windows 7 upgrade package. She also said they were not going to be posted on the support page because they're OEM softwares but I find that odd since the own for the TouchSmart PCs have been posted. Those softwares are also pre-installed on the new TouchSmart tx2z (post Oct 22nd) so anyone who takes a usb file to BestBuy could possibly get the installer files for the package.
asida was correct regarding the software not being available yet on the internet and what everyone else downloaded that installed but didn't run for me also were MediaSmart applications

yeah it looks like you might be right, i apologize.
and what about me? I don't qualify for an upgrade because i didn't purchase my computer after june 29th or whatever the date was. I also already own a legitimate copy of Win 7 64, so I certainly wouldn't be willing to pay for an upgrade just to get the software.

MVP and webcam work fine, install and launch are working. The Smartmenu however had a number of issues, but it is well documented on how to get it to work correctly after a minor amount of pre-work. It is explained in the drivers thread here.

Yea, crazy how they show a video with all these features but existing owners don't get the software? There's also the windows touch pack I keep hearing about and how it's compatible with the tx2z, but not available for download either... What gives?

Yeah does anyone know the latest regarding the Windows Touch Pack? Does Microsoft plan to release that as a download or is it only for customers who bought a PC with Windows 7 pre-installed?

Well i cheacked the support page for the latest TX2 model and i found that it has the same touchsmart 3 software that we have.time will tell if the touchsmart applications software will be available for us or not..
For Windows 7 touch pack still nothing offical about it ,but i downloaded it from the Pirate bay and it's working fine with my tx2 with windows 7 64 .

Guys, I have windows touchpack drop 4 on my tx2. If you have the ntrig multitouch drivers working then you'll have amazing experience with it. especially the multiplayer games where 4 fingers are used to play simultaneously

each time i run the app on my tx2 it comes up as multitouch device not found. what would be the reason for this?
