i upgraded from vista home premium on iq506. Now i get what looks like screen flickers or hits about every 10 seconds... i reloaded the video driver, refreshed resolution, etc. no avail, then encountered a long shutdown and start up process. any ideas? thanks

Same thing here...and occasional lines on the screen as well. I'm starting to think it's a hardware issue but I know it wasn't like that before i tried 7rc

nah man. I'm sure it's hardware related. Best Buy says it's not even worth fixing. I'm just going to use it for s little while longer and find something else. This is my second or 3 rd Hp that goes about 2 years then craps out.

Just updated to Win7 ove the weekend, I get the flicker about every 10-15 seconds. I have tried updating nvidia drivers, however when I try to install the latest driver 186.81 it claims I am running a 32 bit uninstaller on a 64 bit system, then says Set up detected that the operating systems in use is now Windows vista/7 64 bit ???????

I finally resolved it by installing the Vista driver. My machine hung during the installation but all has been well since.
