Hi! I do have a (German) Touchsmart TX2-1150eg as a Desktop replacement. Until today it worked as it should (except of some randomly crashes). I put Windows 7 on it and updated it to the lastest BIOS version some days ago. Today it refuses to boot. When I turn it on the cooler starts, the power LED gets on and the DVD drive makes its regular noises. Unfortunately the screen stays blank and nothing else happens. It doesn't boot or does any "work" (the hdd led stays dark). I googled around and found a site that explains some error codes in the form of flashing LEDs - but the NUM and CAPS LEDs aren't flashing but simply turned on. I tried to remove the battery (the main battery as well as the BIOS battery under the HDD panel. I even tried to remove the DVD drive and the HDD, but it just doesn't do anything. A "hard reset" (holding the power button for 30s) didn't effect something as well. I really need that for my academic studies and don't have the time to send it back to HP. Do you have any idea what else I might try? Thank you so much in advance!
