From time to time I am getting a severe stutter in the mouse. I've tried moving the mouse closer to the screen without success. I've also made sure that any device that might interfere signal-wise was far away but no luck. Anyone else with this problem?

My first instinct would be to check the battery in the mouse. No doubt the battery is new, but it could be a bad battery. Definitely worth a try!

Does anyone else have any more detailed ideas? I personally have not had this problem.

I'll put in some fresh batteries tonight and see how it goes. Thank you Peter.

HPs keyboard and mouse communicate on 2.4GHz range, very common these says with corless phones and wireless routers. I know you said you moved all interference devices as fas away as you could, but try unplugging them entirely and see if that rectifies the issue.

I will try this as well and see if it helps. We definitely have a cordless phone and I am almost certain it operates at 2.4GHz. Thank you very much for the tip.
