Hello guys

My tx2 is working very well under windows 7. The only problem i have apart from ghost clicks is that in tablet mode, my wlan switch doesnt work. Can you guys verify that its working, especially people running windows 7.

Please post your advice, I really need this solved as its fraustrating and wierd to open my tablet in lectures just to turn on my wlan. Thanks in advance.

The wi-fi switch has never worked in tablet mode, I could not tell you exactly why though, it would be nice if some sort of hack-around fixed it.

Besides opening from tablet mode to turn on/off wi-fi you could also use the "gear-wheel" button for that because it opens the Windows Mobility Center and there you might turn on/off wi-fi.

Same here, I am unable to toggle the wireless connectivity thru the wireless button when on tablet mode, but I am using Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I was told by an HP technician to have my notebook sent in for repair, which I am afraid to do, considering my tx2 is less than a month old, and I don't want it to get any scratches whatsoever thru the repair service.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM-84
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

The problem looks like a BIOS firmware issue. Because the latest broadcom drivers didn't sort out the problem. Attimes I suspect its got something to do with that magnet on the left side of the screen (in laptop mode) that ends up on the right beside the switch in tablet mode. And this magnet is NOT for the speakers. Test it with a coin or some steel.

Interesting idea, but I don't think that's it. The manual switch stops working as soon as it goes into tablet mode, before lying down fully.

In case anyone is still monitoring this post:

with the latest BIOS (F.25) you can use the WLAN switch to turn on/off the wireless card in tablet mode.
