I am really curious what games people in the community are playing on their Tx2's.

World of Warcraft, Diablo, Sims ect..?

Has anyone gotten anything newer to install and play well like Batman Asylum, Fallout 3..?

Torchlight, one of my newest favorites, runs great on the IQ500. I've tried a few other older games (Doom 3 for example) and they haven't run as well, but I also didn't spend a lot of time playing with the options.

Gaming on the tx2 is a bit rough since it wasnt designed with that in mind, but I do run Civ 4 on it alot. WoW will run on it at low settings somewhat back when I used to play that game a bit.

Played Sims3 for a while, runs ok if you tweak, but not touch friendly which is a shame as their iphone version is. Bejewelled is cool for finger touchscreen, and monkey island se kind'a works thru touch, I think you need to use the esc to exit the game.

My fam's getting this system for me for Christmas. I know going in it's not really a gameing rig but from what I can see it's still the best option out there for the size that can still run my Art applications.

Happy to hear it can play WOW even at reduced settings. I wasn't even holding my breath for Dragon Age Origins or Deadspace, so that's fantastic!

We got a nice list of games started here. I hope to see more :)

As long as you have a nice surface that can dissipate heat well, you can play a lot of newer games. I've been playing L4D2 and Borderlands on my TX2 as of late when I'm not near my Desktop.

Pro evolution soccer 2010 works great, as does burnout paradise, virtua tennis 09, crayon physics (Lovely game for touch screens), dynasty warriors 6, half life 2.

I play most of my games with a cheap 4 pound ebay gamepad.. makes it all that much more fun.

I customised my HP tx2z with:
6GB RAM
400GB 5200rpm Hard Disk
2.4Ghz AMD Turrion Ultra x2 ZM-86
Bluetooth + Wireless N
Lightscribe DVD-RW drive

I live in the UK - But I imported my tx2 from america.

My TX2 is my primary system. I do quite a bit of gaming on it; F.E.A.R., Half-Life 2 and Eve Online would be the most video intensive of them. I haven't had much issues except with F.E.A.R., which needs the settings down way low. The chip is capable of DX10, but if your game can do DX9 optional, that seems to run a bit faster.

The TX2 isn't really a gaming rig, as has been pointed out, however it's done me just fine. Smooth graphics and gameplay with my (admitedly older) games.

Still 'alot' of good games being played on these systems Even somewhat newer titles.

I still like the older titles too and even still play Age of Empires 2 occasionally. I think it's 10 years old or so. lol

Well, I've got my new Tx2 and have been using it since Chistmas. I have to say it performs better than I had hoped for. I have not had any problems and it runs any of the software I have thrown at it so far including a host of video games.

I have loaded Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Open Office. Hulu Desktop and VLC.

The games that I have installed and played so far include Mount and Blade, World of Warcraft, Diablo 1 & 2, Dawn of War and expansion Winter Assault, Age of Empires 2 & 3 and Warchiefs expansion, Freelancer, Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare, Fallout 3, Starfleet Command 3, Vampire: The Masquerade , Crysis, Halo, Assissin's Creed, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Half Life.

I have also successfully installed and been playing another game from 1997 called Magic: The Gathering. This is the original pc game that is based on the card game and is not internet based. I put this seperately because this game really takes to tablet mode. I have played it for more than a few hours and never needed anything but the pen.

I'll post more as I try them.

I am currently playing Halo 2, Tony Hawk 2 , and Midnight Club 2 (not purposely choosing the 2nd editions just happenstance )TH2 and MC2 both run amazingly fluid on this machine, however..Halo 2 needs to be run in High Performance mode as well as be plugged in to play. Game play can be choppy in some levels but nothing a few configurations cant fix

MC2 also allows you to add your own music in your user data folder for use in game play off and online!
