Currently it's not something you can automate. What comes closest as of the current software version out there would be to start a playlist in the music app, then go to the photo app to start a slideshow.
My boss recently purchased a TouchSmart iq816 and wants to use it in our lobby. Ideally he would like it to cycle through pictures and play music throughout the day, but he would also like it to cycle through the clock, weather, and RSS functionality on a regular basis. Is there a way to automate something like this or would you have to chose between the functions?

well, if you set a playlist and turn it on, then return to the main screen, maximize your large icons and set them to Pictures, Weather, and RSS, that's exactly what it will do - play music while cycling through pictures and showing RSS+weather
