Are their any compatible backlit keyboards that I might be able to switch out with my TX2, specifically I was thinking of some of the Pavilion keyboards since they are in the same family.

Does anyone else have hang-up issues with videos? I get a lot of jumpiness from Youtube, but I also  occassionally get some with short clips played off the HDD, leading me to think it has something to do with the machine and not only Flash.

Yes a backlit keyboard would be wonderful for this unit.

Have not had any issues with video playback on this unit, either on battery or AC.

As for the backlit keyboard, have to admit, that would be awesome if it could be pulled off...

I might have to look into that.

The DV3 series has the backlit keyboard, but its either silver or Bronze colored, wouldnt look very good on this unit, assuming it would be compatible.

I assume it would have to hook into internal USB in order to light it, yes?

I'm not 100% sure, but I imagine one might be able to replace the keys on one of those keyboards with the current one's, however I'm not entirely sure how it shines through.

You would get no backlighted effect then for your effort. The keys on the Dv3 (and all backlit keyboards typically) have the lettering on the keys slightly tranparent so that the backlighting can shine through so that you can see what keys you are pressing. No other illumination is provided other than through the semi-transparent portion of the key.
