The HP documentations recommends an update to Win7 from vista. I've heard that a fresh install is best. Am I safe to do a fresh install from the supplied HP Windows upgrade disks on my TX2z ? (I have saved the vista drivers to my usb already).

I would recomend the fresh install personally. Make sure any data that you have/want is backed up prior to this however as everything will be formated as I am sure you know.
The vista drivers will not be needed, Windows 7 drivers are located on the HP website.

I performed an "Upgrade" instead of the "Custom" and everything is working flawlessly, which I wasn't expecting seeing lots of people having problems with Windows 7 drivers. I just let the HP Upgrade Disc do its thing and it handled everything perfectly. I only have 2 touch points, but no jumping mouse cursors like I had before with Vista. I don't know why but everything seems to be working after the upgrade, buttons and lights and everything. :p

Full install is ALWAYS better than a upgrade.

The CLEAN Win7x64 went fine. Just a lot of driver & app installations from the HP support site - but when you put in your product ID it tells you exactly what you need.
