Dude, you have the laptop, are you telling me that it's too much work to check your own? There are plenty of systeminfo applications that will tell you the capabilities of your existing hardware.
Greetings fellow Touchsmarters.
Thinking of putting a G.Skill Falcon 2 128GB SSD in my TX2 and was wondering.....does this laptop support SATA2? I would be surprised if it did not.....but thought it safe to ask first before I purchase the drive.
Thank You.

NO kidding! REALLY?!?!? Well lets see now.
It is not listed at the Specs sheet at HP.
The tools that I have used just tell the HDD and NOT the controller. ( I have seen SATA2 drives in SATA1 Laptops before...very misleading )
Called HP to ask them and they are really stupid....told me the HDD spec and did not know about the HDD Controller on the motherboard.
So DO tell me DIANE......since it is quite apparent that you are SO helpful....which do I have?

Try Crystal Disk Info, it's not hard to find, and it'll help you with your google-fu. Other programs like System Info for Windows from http://www.gtopala.com/ will tell you.
There's a line between people asking for things, and people asking others to do this for them, it'd have been one thing if you were thinking of buying one of these units and were looking for answers from owners, but you are an owner, and this info isn't hard to get with a little work.
Just think of that old saying about teaching a man to fish..
I use Ubuntu...not Windows.
That should be apparent from my sig I would think.
Although it MIGHT work in WINE......

Digi, your being rude, lighten up. Also, just because your signature states the touchsmart linux group dosent mean you dont dualboot. Was only recently thanks to jayhawk as I recall that you got ubuntu working on there correctly =).
My tx2 is in for repairs on its SATA controller otherwise I would help out. The 780g chipset however is sata 2 compatible, and benchmarks on my SSD drive came in over 230+Mbps so would assume SATA 2 is active since SATA 1 is a 150Mbps spec

Sorry Diane.
