Hello all - I really need some help as I have followed all advice from HP support and I am still unable to complete my Vista installation.

I have an IQ770 that had a hard disk failure, I purchased a western digital SATA hard drive and also purchased a set of recovery disks from HP as I had lost mine.

I have tried to install several times, and each time I get to the final Vista screen where it advises it is updating the configuration, the progress bar gets to 3/4 and then hangs.  I have left this for hours and overnight and the installation does not complete.

Any advise would be appreciated to get this machine back up and running.  Out of curiosity I have successfully installed XP on this machine with the new hard drive.

Many thanks - Ozzy
