The general "base" name for all the models is TX2. TX2z indicates a user-customized model, while TX2 with anything except "z" indicates HP pre-configured models.

I hope this answers your question, you worded it a bit oddly so it is hard to tell.

Yeah... And TouchSmart 3.0 software, unavailable for present owners :/ We have to take this s%^&t for a spin, it's only software, there must be a way to launch that thing. I want that is sooo bad :< Especially Calendar with Google Cal sync :<

no idea, it more then like will just be a diffrent preconfig model, so it would be like tx2-1375 or something they may just chage something such as the default hard size or it may just be them chaning model numbers to note the start of a new year in records reasons.
