I have finally been able to install Win 7 Pro. and TouchSmart 3.0 on my IQ775, and got virtually everything working, except for the HP MediaSmart MVP (Music/Video/Photo) Software. To install I extract to the setup.exe file, it begins to install, launches the Cyberlink installer, then pops up and says that it can only be installed on a MediaSmart or TouchSmart model.
Where is the software validating this information from? Is it in the registry, if so where? When I look up the PC info it shows the IQ775 model number. any ideas on how to trick the installer to see that this older version is MediaSmart or TouchSmart?
Any help would be great!
