hi,

Ive tried to remove my optical drive by the manual,

but when I press the bottun that supposed to disengage the drive (not the eject button,Im talking about the one on the buttom of the laptop),

it fails to do so!

its stuck or something. ive looked over  the manual and there is no explanation to the issue. is there a screw im supposed to unscrew first?

any suggestions?

mine comes out peacefully when I press the button under the laptop.
If yours doesnt, probably there is a problem with your unit. It should simply pop out when you press that button.

The little slide button on the bottom of the unit can sometimes require a bit of extra work to get it to slide and eject the optical drive tray.

Are you able to slide it all the way over to the opposite position?
