Bought a tx2-1020us, it came with Vista home premium 64 bit. This is my first tablet.

Waiting for the HP windows 7 upgrade cds. Any advice on installing it? Any problems I might run into? Cause i remember reading somewhere I have to do something with the n-trig drivers first (uninstall?)

If not then I'll just do the regular;
-Fresh install of Windows 7-64 bit
-Find drivers online

Fresh install means, you are wiping out your old system fully and loading a fresh Win 7 copy on your system. If you are doing fresh install your strategy is perfect:
i.e.
-Fresh install of Windows 7-64 bit
-Find drivers online

You may also backup your data if you need it and its very easy to do with Vista.

-> go to backup and restore center in Vista via your start menu.
-> Click Backup Files ( do not use Backup computer - win 7 does not understand that image)
-> follow the prompts and save your data in CD/DVD or external drive.

Thank you for the advice.

Also, do i need to uninstall the n-trig drivers first before loading Windows 7 (i am currently on Vista out of the box)?

Because I read somewhere (i think @ tabletpcreview) about n-trig drivers not working due to firmware update conflicts etc between vista and windows 7.
