Hi

I wanted to ask you guys regarding the multitouch.

I installed Windows 7 and updated everything on my touchsmart, downloaded all updates etc.

But I'm wondering why in the System properties is listen this:

Pen and Touch: Touch Input Avaiable with 2 Touch Points

I tested it and my HP is only recognizing 2 points on the screen...

Is this the normal way of the Touchsmart how multitouch works ??

Can you check on your machines and let me know ?

And also if smthg is wrong on my machine.. please let me know what my HP is missing...

Thanks an Regards,

Since you're in the desktop section, yes, that's correct, 2 touch points.

I believe you have one of HP TouchSmart machines(IQ 300/ IQ 600). If yes, the HP TS supports only two touch points by the virtue of its hardware. So you have no problem in your system..Enjoy!!!

hi,

Thx for the fast reply.
I have a Touchsmart IQ546t , but I think it doesn't matter, which version it is.
But now I'm sure that everything keeps rollin the right way :)

Thx again :)

Hello..I mentioned the series just to confirm that you are using Desktop or Laptop.
For all Desktop machines, HP supports max 2 touch points and that is why you can see that in Windows 7 system properties.

happy touching ;)!!!!

thx for the info :)

I have one more question...
So in windows 7 only 2 touch points are supported.
What's with the snowflake application or Windows 7 Touchpack ?? also 2 points only ??

Regards,
