Is there a way to play a dvd from tht touchsmart environment? I have the iq500.

Unless you rip and transcode the DVD into a video file that's playable from the built in app, you'll need to use an external program to watch a DVD from disc. There's no DVD playback app for TouchSmart... yet. Maybe a good dev will work out a DVD app for the TouchSmart enironment and upload it to the community. :-)
