I've seen on a youtube video someone using 4 fingers at the same time on a tx2 laptop and it worked quite smoothly. Mine is the tx2 1370, but when i try to do it, i can use up to 2 fingers. Does anyone know how to enable the multitouch for more than 2 fingers? does it affect the pen recognition?

Thanks in advance

okay....here is the problem....and from what I have been told the fault lies with HP.

Our screens can handle 4 touch without any problems. Ntrig claims that when they released the new drivers that they were 4 point touch and that HP neutered the two points for some retarded reason.

You CAN get the 4 touch pack by reverting to the Windows 7 RC1 Drivers. This will flash the firmware of the Ntrig Controller so that it will use 4 point touch.

You can get the 2.59 RC1 drivers from the N-trig website.

Thanks a lot, i'll try it right away. One question, though. does this drivers affect in any way the pen recognition on any other multitouch feature besides the 4 fingers?

No. It is pretty much the same so far as functionality goes, ignoring the max touchpoints supported.

i've just visited the ntrig website and there's only an option for tx2 drive. is that it? Sorry for asking so much, but i've just bought it and i'm really afraid to mess everything up before i even get the chance to work with it. if someone could send me the exact link here or in a PM, i'd be immensely thankful.

i installed it, followed all the instructions, reboot, finished installation and then the touch started having a lot of problems. i was able to touch with 3 fingers on paint, for instance, but it wasn't accurate and the line would follow one finger then suddenly another. Anyway, i restored the system and now it's all back, but only with 2 fingers. Sorry for annoying you and thanks for the link, but at least for me it didn't work.

Sounds like the firmware was not completely wiped.

Anyone know how to completely erase the firmware so that we can get this to work for him?

does the tm2 support up to 4 fingers?

January 31, 2010 5:27 PM

I think that tm2 only support 2 touch points. So... Tx2 users will get ... nothing more, besides hardware supporting 4.

January 31, 2010 5:54 PM updated: January 31, 2010 5:55 PM

that souldn't be classified as multitouch!
Is there any way in which you can activate at least 4 fingers? Changing drivers or something?

That does not sound right........if so then why include the touch pack when it requires 4 point touch?

Almost all touch pack apps works fine with 2 touch points. The only one that works right with 4, is the lagoon. And the one that benefits from 4 touch points, is the "cyber air hockey" (dont remember the name right now) game.

And I think that both are not installed in tm2

The hokey game name is Rebound. In another thread somone said that wacom would probably release other drivers to support more touch points.

some one else also said that you can play rebound with 2 fingers just not as well.
